DAY 50
Dear slowing down,
it’s fantastic how it feels to concentrate only on the moment.
To banish thoughts about yesterday and tomorrow from your head and just enjoy this incredible moment.
Every morning when I take the dog for a walk, I try to use only my senses to perceive my surroundings.
The calming sounds of nature, the wind on my skin, the smell of the grass and the earth, the beautiful colors everywhere.
I didn’t notice any of this before, lost in my thoughts, I just walked past to get back to my duties as quickly as possible.
I can really feel this deceleration.
No matter how stressful my everyday life is, if I sit there for a moment and close my eyes and invite stillness, everything inside and around me calms down.
I would never have believed that this would work, but it does.
It’s so liberating not to think about how I have to achieve a certain goal or get angry about something that’s in the past.
Just be.
Just be aware.
Just enjoy.
Just be free.
